Xtreme Tacos Review- Tampa
Xtreme Tacos- 310 E. Waters Ave. Tampa, FL 33604 |
The first time I visited Xtreme Tacos, I had the Chile Relleno Bowl that has Mexican rice, black beans, roasted poblano pepper stuffed with cheese, topped with thinly shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, and fresh mozzarella. I also had to try the Elote, which was roasted corn top ped with a special dill sauce, fresh mozzarella, and chile powder. Wowza! There were both amazing! Xtreme Tacos immediately went up to the top of my list for Mexican-Fusion style cuisine.
There were so many choices for me as a vegetarian, and now this was a perfect opportunity to try out Xtreme Tacos' vegan options. They did not disappoint! Today, I ordered two veganized Xtreme Tacos which came with choice of meat (I chose grilled portabella) topped with thinly shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, and guacamole. Along side, I ordered black beans (sans cheese) and rice. My friends ordered the fried plantains, so I scored one of those perfectly caramelized plantano maduros too! Also, Xtreme's red hot sauce is super spicy and added so much flavor and heat to the meal. The sauce was so good, I actually wanted to wash my hair with it. Just kidding. No, I'm not kidding. Everything was perfect from the guac on top, down to the corn tortilla holding everything together.
On top of good food, affordable prices and a great drink selection, the folks are super nice and welcoming. After going just one time, I feel as though I am among friends and for me, that makes Xtreme Tacos even better! That is what it's all about. Relationships. Supporting small businesses. Bringing community together and good eats.
Will I go back? Heck yes. Will I bring my friends? Absolutely. Is it so good that it makes me want to slap my mama? Triple yes!
