So, after simmering the jackfruit in the pan with the barbecue sauce, the next part was to transfer it to a baking sheet and bake in the oven. The jackfruit stayed in the oven for approximately 20 to 25 minutes at 400°. This made the sauce thicker and transform the texture of the jackfruit into something more reminiscent of pulled pork. When it was all over with, we made pull jackfruit barbecue sandwiches and put on vegan coleslaw as a topping. It went great alongside the other cookout-type foods that were at the barbecue. For me, it is actually an improvement since I do not really care for pork in the first place. Another successful recipe!
